Alex asked about the stainless dip tubes for Poseiden D.I.N.'s. The machine shop quoted me $20 each if I made fifty. Interestingly enough, the valve stem for the SeaElite manifold was almost as much. I looked at my rig again, and I noticed there are not even any scratches on the regulators. If I were using the Sherwood manifold, I might go ahead and get them made. The only time I ever broke the valve stem I was screwing around, trying to ride two scooters at once and pushing Lamar English at the same time, or hot-dogging with Casey in Manatee. If enough people want them, I will make them, and I could replace all of mine. The problem with the material y=used by Poseiden is that it is a machining grade of brass which is both more brittle and softer than normal brass, and far more so than stainless. The only problem with stainless is that something else will fail if it does not, although this would not likely be a diving accident. - G
