Being a Nitrox Instructor, say 3 years ago, may have been something different, but nowadays a variety of agencies/ITs are turning out Nitrox Instructors with just a 4 hour seminar (most everyone has seen the adverts, I'm sure - if not try looking in the listing of >any< of the large US dive shows). As far as the "technical instructors" go, I'm willing to wager that for the most part they mirror the recreational instructor community: there are good and bad instructors/IT's - "Young Guns" and "Old Hands" alike. regards, Greg Dawe
