Why must there be so much profanity to communicate information about technical diving? I simply fail to see the connection between Mr. Irvine's "Tone of language" and his extrodinary level of competence. The two should be mutually exclusive, and yet they are not. When I have spoken to him in person, he is an entirely different induvidual. I would go so far as to say there is a "Day and Night" difference over the phone! He is freindly, articulate, and well spoken. So why the unwillingness to behave in the same manner here as there? After I saw JR's message about George being removed I sent him a private e-mail offering him to post his reply on my account concerning his removal from the list. So don't think I was glad to see George gone, I was only glad to see the language gone. George is even writting a commercial review of Abyss for an upcoming magazine!! If I was out to get the guy, don't you think I would have put a quash on that post haste? For what its worth, I was not one of the people that asked JR to have George removed from the list either. As for me exploring the list for my business... I suppose a valid argument can be made that anything I say or do in regards to diving is directly related to my business. At this point ALL of my diving is business related in some manner. Every dive I make seems in some fashion to be related to business, and my business IS diving. I don't think there is anyway for me to seperate the two. Christopher M. Parrett, President, Abysmal Diving Inc. Makers of ABYSS, Advanced Dive Planning Software. 6595 Odell Place, Suite G.
