Hi All, I have heard through the grapevine that my mention of my DCI, and IWR is being used against the boat operator who took me out to the wreck. Apparently this is being used in sniping comments to customers. Such as, Southern Cross are so bad that they have bent a diver. I don't know who it is who is saying this, but it says far more about the gossiper, than Southern Cross. As we all know DCI is an integral part of diving, and to claim that it is the "fault" of the boat driver is ridiculous. What is happening here is that someone is trying to make the connection between DCI and poor operating standards of the boat. In other words they are compromising diver safety (by encouraging denaial) for commercial advantage. This is intolerable. If any dive operator starts making comments of that sort to you, remember, that this means they place their profit well ahead of your safety. For the record, Southern Cross divers runs an *excellent* boat operation. I'm very fussy, particularly about safety, and Southern Cross is far better than any other boats in this respect. I would highly recommend them to any diver, and particularly those undertaking unusual dives. Cheers Jason =:)
