Monsieur DuFour's comment on pony gauges jogged another old idea loose from the mental flypaper. Since some folks associated with designing/ producing hoseless computers read TechDiver, I ask: Why cannot someone produce a hoseless SPG, consisting of the sending unit and a wrist or hose-mounted receiving unit reading only tank pressure? This would let one constantly monitor pony pressure if the pony is pressed into service during a dive, and provide for easy checking of the pony pressure whenever one wants it. I know that one should be planning one's dive so that the pony is sufficient to get you out safely from any point in the dive, but it would be reassuring to know, while completing your safety stop after aborting your lobster-hunt beneath the Stolt because your primary reg went on vacation, that you won't need to make even a 15ft free ascent. I don't want another hose hanging off me, but a little pressure readout unit would sit nicely and un- obtrusively on my right forearm. If such a unit is available, please tell me where....
