Frank, the problem with this guy is that he should
have spent less of his "23 years experience" smuggling
bone, and more of it diving. He obviouly has the time
to spend flaming as well, but doesn't bother
knowing WTF he is talking about, the trademark
of the IANTD instructor. Why deal in facts when
bovine scatology will do so well? After all, since
this genious thinks that ther were "old days " in
which one could be a moron and get away with it,
who are we to correct him? Who am I to tell someone
how to do it right when they have been doing it
wrong for so long.. Again, look a the
oil companies and the Navy. I can show this
guy a copy of my twenty year old Navy manual
that has scuba heliox tables in it that
discusses all of the things that this guy
still doesn't understand. Try telling the traffic
cop that you didn't know the speed limit, or
telling the IRS that you didn't know you had
to pay taxes. Guys like this need a good
flaming. - G

Man, if you can't do this in your head at your desk, perhaps you had
better not
be diving...
The curious thing is that your number is so random -- I could see if
you came up
with 270 fsw = 2.0ppO2 on air (30fsw X 2.0ata / .2ata - 30fsw ==>
easily done
in your head quickly), but how did you get 257fsw???
(Appologies for flaming, but really! This is essential stuff, and
should be
down cold!)
