George, it's obvious - natural selection is at work.

I predict that there will be an increase in deaths when rebreathers
begin to be sold to the diving community in large(r) numbers,
especially if their cost comes down into the $5k and under range,
which will most likely only happen for the semi CCR units.

Regulation, nah, it won't help, look at how many private pilots still
screw up, and they're heavily regulated by the feds and you'd expect
them to be MORE heavily regulated because their deeds directly affect
others, esp the passengers!
