Ok, here's the latest poop on Dr. Buhlmans Publications:
"Decompression, Decompression Sickness" (1984) is out of print. I have 
contacted Springer Verlags permissions department and have requested 
information on royalty costs for copies. A press run is quite simply out 
of the question from an economic standpoint. The original work was, as 
John pointed out, published in 1983 (IN GERMAN).

Tauchmedezin is currently only available in german. I have contacted Dr. 
Wieczorek in Heidleberg, each Verlag office exercises quite a lot of 
autonomy it seems, inquiring as to if and when it will be available in 
english. I acquired a copy a couple of years back and had embarked on an 
english version. I did not, and still do not, have access to a scanner 
with ocr. So i was reduced to typing in the manuscript then running it 
through a translation program. Needless to sat quite a few terms were not 
in my dictionary. I do have a fellow in Germany who is a technical writer 
and who is willing to help me with the non standard terms. I had at one 
time asked if there was any interest in a group project. There was none.

So here I sit with my Tauchmedezin looking at the pictures! :)
Actually we got what we wanted out of the new book. Mathematics knows no 
language barriers.

I will report to the list what I learn.
