Here are some details of the EUROTEK/PLANET TEK conference and exhibition
due next
month. See you all there!

EUROTEK/PLANET TEK

The biggest Technical Diving Conference ever to be staged in Europe will be
held at the
National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England, on October 14/15.

Called EUROTEK, it will take place alongside DIVE 95, Britain's most
important annual Dive
Show, which attracts some 13,000 divers.

EUROTEK will be organised by DIVER Magazine in association with the
aquaCorps Journal in
the United States and will feature the world's leading experts in the field
of Technical Diving
from Britain, Continental Europe and the USA.

They will be talking about nitrox diving, mixed gases, rebreathers, advanced
computers, d=7Feep
sea exploration, and techniques - everything related to the revolutionary
developments that
have recently been taking place in the field of recreational and scientific
diving. And there will
be a special dedicated area within the DIVE 95 exhibition hall called PLANET
TEK, devoted to
all the latest available technical diving equipment, training agencies, and
so on.There will also
be demonstrations of equipment in DIVER Magazine's purpose-built diving tank
at the
exhibition.

Presenters at EUROTEK will include Billy Deans (known as 'Dr Deep' to his
friends and
colleagues); Dr Bill Hamilton, decompression expert; Brett Gilliam, one of
Technical Diving's
pioneers; Rob Palmer, a leading-edge cave diver and a foremost exponent in
the 'tekkie'
field; Dr Tom Hennessey, designer of diving tables, and representatives of
all the
major companies, training organisations and agencies involved in the field.
This event is
designed for everyone from interested divers to already dedicated tekkies
and is bound to be
of enormous value to all concerned.

A EUROTEK ticket and price structure has been designed to give visitors the
greatest
possible flexibility, and this is as follows:
Half-day ticket =A315 sterling;
full-day ticket =A327.50;
two-day ticket =A350.

(worth =A37).
