Sorry if this is a bit out of date, but I have had a full mail box for the last few days and any recent message may have been missed. Yes, I would agree that Deeptek is a great mag....it starts at the beginning, looks at what is happening now & not only who is doing it but how someone getting started in the tech stuff can get a better idea of the groundrules. It is actually better that the early editions (Deep, Solo) of aquacorp in that it is a broad "dive consumer" mag targetted to the tech market. However, Aquacorps does fill another niche, and doed it well. I have heard Aquacorps called "Wired goes diving" and must agree. It is bleeding edge stuff (some may say too bleeding) but it does contain valuable information (AND< it makes for a well presented magazine). Coming from the publishing world, if it can continue to increase it's circulation it must be getting the right audience. But, that should NOT mean that Deeptek heads down this road. Deeptek is a mag I would like to see in ALL dive stores (and some magazine shops) as a lead off into tech diving. They both offer valuable reading (even if sometimes there may be a level of "look at me aren't I great..." type of articles (and I am sure BOTH will suffer from this from time to time). I hope they both continue, I for one look forward to receiving them. (and reading them out the back behind the compressor shed)!!!!
