>How about a conversion chart for US/RestOfWorld Tanks sizes and >pressures? I'm from the UK where we have metric sizes, eg. 12.2 litres, >232 bar and currently, I'm in the US and an getting confused with tanks >sizes. Whats a 80 cu.ft. tank in real numbers, and how can an 80 >cu.ft. tank be "pressurised" to 100 feet ?? Lets say we have a 10l 232 bar cylinder. Very common in the UK although rufty-tufties tend to use them in pairs. That's 2320 litres of air, according to the unix `units' program that is 81.9 cubic feet. The US AL80s you usually see are 3000psi (very roughly 204 bar), so a useful rule of thumb is that they hold about as much air as a 232-10 (but are physically bigger.) Doing the same calculation your 232 bar 15 l holds approx 120 cu ft. If you get an 80 cu.ft pressurised to 1500 psi, you have only 40 cu.ft of air. Regards Pete
