I got hold of an ex-Russian gas mask where the airflow is so arranged that when the user breathes in, a sharp directed current of the air coming into the mask blows straight onto the eye-windows; it has no inner mouth-and-nose compartment. That cuts fogging down much compared with English-made gas masks. Another feature is that instead of straps it is attached to a complete head hood of thin rubber. This seems more comfortable to me.
