I am interested in obtaining more information on Atmospheric diving suits (or so-called "One-Atmosphere" diving suits) for a report that I am writing. I know that the most well known Atmospheric diving suits to date have been the WASP, JIM, and most recently, the NewtSuit. China has been developing two suits called the K2F-1 and QSZ-1. >From what I understand, these suits are most widely used by Oil and Gas drilling and exploration companies for deep sea operations, and also companies that maintain trans-oceanic cables at great depths. I am interested in the scientific and exploration applications of this undersea technology -- as Sylvia Earle demonstrated when she dove in the JIM diving suit off the coast of Oahu in the early 1980's. Any information that you could lend on books, scientific journal articles, periodical articles, etc. would be most appreciated. Perhaps if Sylvia Earle has access to the net, she could contribute some information on her early deep sea dives, and her current research endeavors. Thanks in advance, Tim Meese
