Whoa!.... slow down a little. Jon, the most important thing you can do for yourself is to make sure your experience is commensurate with the training and level of diving you do now. Do you dive with stage bottles or even doubles? Have you done any planned deco dives? Are you comfortable with gas switches? These are the kinds of things you have to be confident about doing/using. Trimix takes these elements and adds a different bottom mix to enable you to go deeper. You don't want to be getting comfortable with new equipment and techniques on a deep mix dive. That is not the place. You want learn about doubles/stages/deco before you start a trimix course. You should be experienced with them under many different circumstances before moving on. If you want to take courses, take a technical nitrox and a deep air course first. Even then, dive as much as you possibly can. Training teaches you how, but practice and experience will bring your ass back alive. As for rebreathers, well...that's a totally different beast. I'm not sure that anyone right now has the best answer for `How to train on a rebreather?'. I'd be willing to bet that becoming a safe and proficient rebreather diver is going to involve more than what most think is sufficient now. Tony
