George, I must be missing something here. I was following a thread about using voltmeters to read O2 sensors. I did not understand what type of sensor was to be used and how to connect it to your voltmeter. I have not seen O2 measured using this method, and was trying to get a mental picture of how the setup would be configured. Responses like yours are exactly the reason I rarely post. The worst part of your response is the time I am wasting writing back. I was asking Bill Gavin the question, because he seemed to have an interest in providing list members with technical information. You on the other hand are a classic list predator, waiting to attack new members for (in your opinion) stupid questions or ideas on a subject for which you are the worlds only expert. Apparently nobody else is capable of learning anything more about diving because you have managed to suck up all the worlds diving information into your oversized head. If you would cease to incite arguments on this list I beleive the flame wars would subside. You seem to be the major catalyst to the degradation of all the threads which start out as queries and end up as battles. I enjoyed your informative posts about the procedures used for surveying by WKPP. But at the expense of all of your slanderous personal assaults on the members of this list, your information is not worth it. Why dont you start your own list, and you can select all the members personally. That way you can prescribe the topics for discussion and give specific parameters for the questions that can be asked. That way if someone else reads the list (doubtful) they wont think there are any novice divers interested in learning. This would just be too embarrassing! You could name it the 'Nazi Divers List' and you could be the Dive Fuhrer... In reference to your suggestion, if I decide to sell my dive gear you get first choice. Your just the type of brainless trailer trash I can fool into paying too much. You now have prize . It amazes me that anyone even tries to put legitimate information on here. Take my advice - sell your gear and take up something else. - George << Start of Forwarded message via prodigy (R) mail >> From: Daniel Keenan Subject: Re: O2 sensors/Voltmeters Date: 08/30 Time: 12:17 PM Date: Wed, 30 Aug 95 12:17:01 EDT From: Daniel Keenan [dkeenan@zi*.sb*.co*] Sender: Maiser@co*.ci*.uf*.ed* [Maiser@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*] Reply-to: cavers@co*.ci*.uf*.ed* [cavers@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*] Subject: Re: O2 sensors/Voltmeters What do you flow the air across, normal voltmeter leads or do you need something custom (ie heat sensitive metal or resistor or ?) thanks dan -------- Original message header follows -------- From @nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu:dkeenan@zi*.sb*.co* Wed Aug 30 12:17:55 1995 [PIM 3.2-342.56] Received: from nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu (nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu [128.227.75. 9]) by maily1.prodigy.com (8.6.10/8.6.9) with SMTP id MAA27546; Wed, 30 Aug 1995 12:19:31 -0400 Received: from condor.circa.ufl.edu by nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu (IBM VM SMTP V2R3) with TCP; Wed, 30 Aug 95 12:19:25 EDT Received: from CONDOR/SpoolDir by condor.circa.ufl.edu (Mercury 1.21); 30 Aug 95 12:19:10 +500 Received: from SpoolDir by CONDOR (Mercury 1.21); 30 Aug 95 12:17:10 +500 From: dkeenan@zi*.sb*.co* (Daniel Keenan) To: "Cave Divers List" <cavers@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*> Subject: Re: O2 sensors/Voltmeters Date: Wed, 30 Aug 95 12:17:01 EDT Errors-to: <ken@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*> Reply-to: cavers@co*.ci*.uf*.ed* Sender: Maiser@co*.ci*.uf*.ed* X-listname: <cavers@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*> X-Mailer: Mercury MTS v1.21 Message-ID: <5D10DB11025@co*.ci*.uf*.ed*> -------------- End of message --------------- << End of Forwarded message >>
