I was recently informed that Trimix may be beneficial for use at shallow depths (e.g. 150ft.). As I understand it, Helium does not cause the red blood cells to become as rigid as nitrogen does under pressure. This prevents damage to the micro capillaries when helium replaces nitrogen as the inert gas. Are there other benefits (or problems?) with helium use? Would anyone care to comment on this? Thanks in advance, Pete
