I'd have to agree with those people who are not happy with the cross posting and much duplicated mail coming through on these lists. Mike is right (below) that if the cross posting continues for the next few days, we ALL may see outrageous amounts of mail.....Besides that, there's already far too many useless double posts and worthless messages on this list. (At least the Flame wars have ended :-) ) I know that my account is personally overfilled almost every morning when I arrive at work, and I have to delete many of these messages before I'm allowed to write and send anything. As Mike says, please re-think the subscription while on an extended vacation....or maybe everyone help out by finding out if you have anything to do with the double posts and correct whatever causes it to happen...it would almost have to be a personal account problem or setup, because SOME people's messages only show up once. AOL will I'd guess 6-7 days will fill 'er up :) (between cavers and techdiver) > hold 500 messages for me then give mailbox full messages to senders. If this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ > happens please don't dump me from the list. (I think) This may cause an endless cascade of message on cavers (until Ken has no choice but to remove you) a) cavers msg comes to you from joe.diver b) your mailbox has filled up, so you reply saying you are full c) with cavers, the reply is sent to the LIST, not joe.diver d) "I'm full" msg goes to entire cavers list e) now you get msg from cavers (saying you are full) since you are on the list f) everyone else starts to wonder what the heck is going on.... (we've now heard multiple times that you are full :) ) g) go to step b until everyone gets damnably upset... Please reconsider what you are about to do... Ok, now I'll get personal about this particular post Have a great trip.
