I am one of those less experienced divers, and hope to learn how to do more
technically demanding dives. I recently took the PADI wreck diving
specialty course and it served mainly to point out how much more I need to
learn. In particular, while I didn't get entangled in my reel line, I had
trouble getting the line back smoothly on the reel (it bunched up on the
side making it necessary to go back and try again) and then it came back
off when I was undoing the tie-off at the end. The instructor recommended
further practice with the reel. My question : Are there any practice
exercises with the reel beyond tying it off, then going forth and back that
I should be doing? Any tips on getting the line back smoothly on the reel?
I know these are very basic skills, but these seem to be the ones newer
divers lack (at least, this newer diver!).

Thanks for your help
Elizabeth
