Trey, great question about the right-hand bottle. You don't use a lower ring . First, make sure that your harness is rigged so that the belt buckle reaches just far enough to hold the light in place. There should be nothing else there. Just clip the lower stage snap right to the belt (obviously it is just hanging there). If it is a longer run, make a small loop out of bungee or 1/4" line that slides over your belt webbing after the light goes on to clip to. It will migrate back against the light. The long hose is still below the bottle, but if you needed to share gas, the first four feet that come with the handoff are enough to get started. You then free the rest of the hose from under the bottle and light with one motion. The key to stage bottles is that the neck be tight to you, the bottom should be free to go to the path of least resistance, in so far as you keep it from falling with weight or rising with buoyancy, meaning that the bottom clip should have some play in it, but not too much. If you think of anything else, please ask. I made some scooters for my buddies and we were checking them out in the pool today . They are 1/4 of a pound negative and maintain a slight nose-up attitude. I told them - good gear makes it look like you're good. If you keep looking good, before you know it you are good, and good is just a euphamism for safer in this game. - George
