A short comment on cold hands,

For those "below 32" or very long dives in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, I use the
Viking dry glove rings with a pair of industrial latex five finger gloves with
very thick boiled wool gloves AND argon. The trick is to make sure the argon
can move from the suit to the glove. To achieve this, I put a small piece of
string between my wrist and the latex seal on the Viking suit. It's just enough
to allow gas movement but no enough to flood the suit if a lose or break a
glove.

Last winter, this setup was found to be OK for 75 minute dives at a constant
31degF.
