Tracey, This was not directed at you. If you read the post I was responding to, then you should know I was ticked off with what this guy just said, and I was trying to put him into a category I could elaborate on. I did'nt want to elaborate on finding stuff in low viz mud, because thats another kind of diving, for different interests, and my comments about South Florida DON'T apply to it. If thats where your interests lie fine. I made no attack on those interests. Any attack you felt was on him. >>I know there are people who prefer to dive in five feet of viz, in 50 degree >>water, and stir around a muddy bottom in hopes of finding a piece of something. >>If thats what you want, I have nothing to say to you. > >I'm sure I'd love Florida diving if I was interested in deep diving for >its own sake, but I am also interested in the exploration, discovery, >mystery, and finding out what happened to land these ships on the bottom >of the ocean. Learning to get down there and back again alive is just a >part of the whole picture. If you know of Pompano Beach gurus who can >teach me _all_ of this better than these "local yahoos", I'd love to hear >about them. Again, this was NOT about NY/NJ divers! I said if someone was new to tech diving in "someplace, usa" they would be better off diving with the best tech divers in Pompano than the divers less skilled than themselves in their own "someplace, usa". Lighten up Tracey, I have no intention to trash NY or NJ divers. I know its a harsh environment and you have to be good to be a tech or advanced diver there. My beligerent attitude was directed toward someone who deserved what I sent out, and I did my best to focus on him. And I'm sorry if you were offended, but check the thread closer.
