Ron, these "tech" bc's are pretty "busy" so
really make poor choices for "technical" diving. They
are sloppy, get hung up on everything, have convoluted
schemes for attaching the tanks, have the rings fixed
in the wrong places and are therefor dangerous.A harness
made form one continuous piece of webbing is the most
versatile and cleanest rig. They are designed primarily
to attract the uninitiated to spend hundreds of dollars
for what will cost you less than $30 for the finest
webbing and marine grade hardware.
These things, especially the "transformer" pack,
remind me of a fishing trip I took. I was rigging a bait,
and the captain looked at it and said, "that might fool
you , but it won't fool the fish". - George
