.. my ancestors were choctaw indians.. to select their "medicine men" the
candidates would jump off a tall cliff.. the one's that lived were "chosen"
by the gods to fullfill their "destiny"...  this is why the medicine men were
generally bent and broken.   also the reason that there were very few of 
these men alive.
