Howdie! Alright, I got a problem w/ DIN valves. I've been following the thread thread (hmmm) anyway, I didn't get exactly what I was looking for from that. My problem: I'm looking for real live 300 bar DIN fittings, and I don't know what to look for. Info I've gotten so far: I have Scuba Pro Modular valves, they are marked 232bar, but the SP rep says they will do 300 bar if I replace the burst disks. However, looking at them, they appear to be much shallower than 300bar valves I've seen before. So, 1st question - is it the inches of thread that determins the bar rating of the valve, or the deepness of the thread cut? I could see it either way. But specifically, I was interested in the SP modular valves. Secondly, I've got Scuba Pro Mk15 first stages that are DIN. Their literature says its a 300 bar reg. However, again, the threads are shorter than other 300bar fittings I've seen, although the threads are very deeply cut. Is there a way to tell just from looking? Is there a spec (must be!) and if anyone knows it, or could tell me where to find it, I'd appreciate it.
