re: the post gas fittings


there have been very creative readings of my post suggesting the use of LH
thread for gas mixtures. i intended the suggestion as a follow-up to the
idea for decompatibilizing argon tanks--as such, my note should have been
Re:...........

the explicit intention of my text was to point out a simple, reliable, etc 
method for keeping an air-diver's regulator off a mixed gas-tank.

clearly, it should be up to individuals to decide if they want to drop a
kilobuck to switch 5 tanks and regs to gas-only configuration. count me out
on that one. count also me out on explicit government regulated diving.

it has been pointed out to me that the suggestion of a LH DIN was made at
the nitrox conference (proto-tek '92). the idea wasn't popular there,
either.

and for you tricky flamesters, i've been lucky so far about guessing which
tank/reg is which. in the event of a tie, i use a handy, five-sided coin to
decide which reg to bite. they come free with every transformer.
