Pick a reputable instructor that can certify you with 2 or 3 agencies.
Then the issue becomes how many $25 cards you want.  The real 'standard'
will be upon to the instructor anyway.  I recommend a lot of reading,
get a real grip on the theory.  Then take the class and grill the
instructor.

Try to get a package deal with a couple of courses.  Get at least
"Basic EANx" and "Advanced EANx" together.  Prices will vary, but with
a little homework you should be able to get a good deal.

Yes!  Always analyze the mix yourself and deal with people that are
knowledgeable.  (You will know when you find them) *grin*
