Is the inference (or fact??) that the narcotic potential of _any_ chemical (provided it isn't so toxic as to kill you first) is directly proportional to its lipid solubility? Intriguingly (well, to me at least), environmental and/or lab-air pollutants with high octanol/H20 paretition coefficients (and hence, high lipid solubility), such as chloroform, dichloromethane, benzene and hexane, can also yield one hell of a buzz to the unwary chemist.
