I just subscribed to the techdiver list and decided that this would be a good time to introduce myself to the list. I am way on the shallow side of tech diving but the engineer in me likes to follow all of the latest innovations. I started diving in 1956 but did skip a couple of decades along the way. My nitrox card is old enough to be missing the "T" - but I do have a valid "Old Fart" card from OFDA. Far too many of my dives nowdays are simple open water checkouts with students. I teach for that big chain of dive shops in the Seattle area. I just took early retirement from R&D at the local Defib factory in January and am almost caught up on the "honeydo" list my wife had saved up for me. My activities now include Scuba Instruction, Macintosh programming for fun & profit, biomedical electronics & software, web page design and, of course, taking care of all that business generated by OFDA. ------------- Dick Barker dickb@es*.co* http://www.eskimo.com/~dickb/ Are you qualified to join OFDA? http://www.eskimo.com/~dickb/ofda.html
