Sorry Guys, But this is where I just have to step in.

Greg, You are unfortunately incorrect in your comment that the Cave Divers
Association of Australia (CDAA) have a maximum limit in all sites they
administer.

What the CDAA do have is a maximun RECCOMMENDED limit for the sites they
administer.

This is for the obvious legal indemnification reasons associated with being
a training & certification organisation.

The CDAA can do absolutely nothing to you whatsoever if you dive deeper than
40 mt, PROVIDED IT IS IN A SITE WHERE THE LANDOWNER HAS NOT SET A MAXIMUM
ALLOWABLE DEPTH.

The CDAA don't own any sites (yet!!) and as such don't set the limits.

It's the landowners who are setting the limits you are talking about, not
the CDAA.

As far as diving gases, again as the CDAA are the current regulatory body on
Cave Diving in Australia, they have put in place an INTERIM air only rule,
until the landowners (remember we are dealing with cattle farmers here
guys!!) can be brought up to speed on what is going on with other gases.
I am told that this is likely to change shortly.

Safe Diving
