Hi Steve,
With regard to taper threads and Oxygen, there is *no* problem.  Almost
all O2 supply cylinders have a taper thread.  The Dreager LAR V is a steel
cylinder with a taper thread that uses 100% O2 and the FGT is a bronze
cylinder with a taper thread.  At work we use a particular brand of thread
tape.  I don't know if that is because of it's O2 compatability or not, but
I'll ask on Monday and get back to you.
