I beg to differ. Although I am plenty narced at 290 on air, were it not 
for the ppO2 I'd do 290 on air instead of mix. I personally will scooter 
at 250 on air IF the cave is big enough that I could come up a little and 
swim out. If I have to work at 250 I won't do the dive on air.
Quite a few of the poeple I dive with seem to feel the same way.
