SHIPWRECKS OF THE SUNSHINE STATE: FLORIDA'S SUBMERGED HISTORY Hi- Advance orders are now being taken for the new book Shipwrecks of the Sunshine State: Florida's Submerged History. This book is the result of my efforts to produce something that would be more informational than other similar books detailing shipwrecks of Florida. More background information on the vessels; the details of their losses; descriptions of the wreck sites, marine life, and artifacts recovered; etc. Hundreds of archival and underwater pictures illustrate the 200+ page book. Also included is the most extensive wreck coordinate database for Florida shipwrecks and artificial reefs. Over 1,000 shipwreck numbers, many of them previously closely guarded secrets, are listed in the database. There are quite a few technical-depth wrecks included in the book, and all of the U.S. Navy wrecks (e.g., U.S.S. Wilkes-Barre, U.S.S. Kendrick, U.S.S. S-16) sunk off Key West are included in a special section. For more information and ordering options, please refer to: http://www.mikey.net/aue/shipwreckbook.htm Currently, I am only shipping domestically (continental U.S.) via the above website information. If you are overseas, please e-mail me directly at barney00@ta*.rr*.co* and we can work out something. I hope everyone else enjoys reading about these fascinating wrecks, as much as I enjoyed researching them. Cheers, Mike Michael C. Barnette Association of Underwater Explorers Because it's there...somewhere...maybe. http://www.mikey.net/aue _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8.
