--part1_1e6.b8733de.2c24ad73_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable FYI About 1 year ago there was a thread about a shop in Hallandale, FL called=20 Aquatic. The gist of it was the material they had been using for the past fe= w=20 years for making wet suits was defective, and how they were given the run ar= ound=20 and dissatisfied with the way they were treated. It seems the material was=20 peeling away from the Rubertex and they denied there was a problem. The year= =20 before the thread came out I happen to buy a custom made Rubertex wet suit f= rom=20 the same shop, "The best material there is" said the shop owner. The first=20 season that I used it I noticed two small tears on the material in the back=20= area of=20 the=20 suit and used some wet suit cement for a quick fix. This year the tears got=20 bigger and I noticed a few more rips.=A0 I called the shop and explained the= =20 problem to Connie one of the owners, she said "bring it in and we will repai= r it=20 no charge," so I showed up at the shop with the wet suit and heard a song an= d=20 dance how it was my fault the suit was damaged and nothing is wrong with the= =20 material. I explained I bought an Ocean Ray wet suit ten years ago and out g= rew=20 it (because of the see food diet I''ve been on) without one defect in the=20 material except one small hole on a seam under the arm pit. She said " I was= lucky=20 it's like going 10 years without getting hit by a car but I'll fix the suit=20 any way, that's why you bought it here! We go over to the counter and she sa= ys,=20 when do you want it back, I said, 2 weeks, she said it will be ready in 3=20 weeks because I'm going away and by the way the cost is $45 how do you want=20= to=20 pay? This women had me drive about 1 hour to Hallandale led me to believe th= ere=20 was no charge for the repair. Where I come from these tactics are called a=20 bait and con, By the way, I paid $450 for the wet suit.=A0 Needless to say I= walked=20 out.=A0 Seems I was not the only one that was dissatisfied with the material= =20 and the shop.=A0 This women can give G.I. some competition with her attitude= :-) Later=20 BOB --part1_1e6.b8733de.2c24ad73_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
<FONT SIZE=3D2 FAMILY=3D"SANSSERIF" FACE= =3D"Arial" LANG=3D"0">
<FONT COLOR=3D"#0000ff" style=3D"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff" SIZE=3D2= FAMILY=3D"SANSSERIF" FACE=3D"Arial" LANG=3D"0">
FYI
About 1 year ago there was a thread about a shop in Hallandale, FL c= alled Aquatic.
