JT is busy diving - summer is his best time up there. WKPP is busy diving - we finally are getting some relief from El Nino and some of our systems are clearing. Otherwise, I am switching jobs and am busy trying to make a smooth transition at the one I am leaving and simultaneously trying to learn my new one, both of which are taking a lot of time, so have not done much email. I am also getting all of my gear up to speed for the season. I am putting all new batteries in my scooter fleet, rigging new rebreather back tanks, making up new stage bottles, new regs, new lights, the whole bit. We have connected some new caves to Leon Sinks, have done some dye traces connecting sloughs to Leon, are putting in radio locators to check surveys and drill tap wells for sampling, working on new videos, and setting up the main caves for exploration dives. Our first big setup will be on the 28th, followed by other setups and exploration dives for as long as the season lasts. One interesting thing I have been doing is altering all my existing mixes to be sure all the bottles are neutral. I see what is in them, figure what needs to change to make them neutral, drop the pressure, then haskel in helium or heliox to make it so.
