Had a bunch of requests to CC any info I received on DIY p-valves so figured I'd post it: Never found a copy of any of the old plans, so we reconstructed them after a visit to a hardware store, and have posted them on the website at http://www.airspeedpress.com/pvalvepage.html The check valves, for those who must have balanced, come with a lot of end fitting options. Easiest is to use a 304/304PPB-3" (barbs on both ends) cut into the line as shown but you can streamline things a bit by using a street elbow, and a 304/314PPB-3" screwed directly into it. Valves are about $5 each ,and Smart Products sells in any quantity. Those numbers are for the 1/4" version. See the Halcyon or DiveRite manuals, on their respective websites, for info on how to locate and install, and http://www.diveoz.com.au/discussion_forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=2466 for installation tips. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
