Hi Doug Thanks for the feedback on the DVD, the 490ft dive was just as it was made for our group to see and use. I did not edit any of the planning of the dive so not to be accused of anything since there is a illegal copy of the original out there of the 490ft dive, yes the video on that dive was a bit shaky looking as we were trying to do a free descent to nearly 500ft on a small wreck in high current and was looking for it once we got to the bottom, but I don't recall any blank blue screen, unless you mean were Rick was panning around looking for the wreck or the drop as we descended down and there is nothing but blue water to see while descending. On the Ostfriesland 380ft dive we did not video the planning session as we have done that dive so many times only the new people need to be talked to in detail to understand how we do it. Tom Sawicki is in the process of writing a report on that dive for me to put on my site because you are not the first to bring this up and everyone deserves to know . I assume you must have watched it on your computer that plays DVD's. The older computers need to be adjusted as you say, I have not heard of a DVD player as having to do anything or have any problems. I have gotten a number of request for the DVD from across the pond and I do not have it in PAL version. It is NTSC, however if you have a computer running windows NT, 2000, or XP it should work if you have a DVD in your computer. I liked that you kepted the planning session in for the deeper than deep dive, but would have like to seen some of the planning on the second dive, had minor trouble with my dvd player playing the 380 foot dive had to go into the navagation menu to get it to play. nicely done! video of deep dive a bit shakey, lots of blank blue screen, but other than that a good safe dive by my way of thinking. doug -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
