Jackie has been diving a Re-breather for 4 yrs to depths of 400ft 11:30 - 12:10 Capt Johnny Pieno www.outerbanksdiving.com will speak on Wrecks of Hatteras, NC and their artifacts. Capt. Johnny has been running dive trips for many years out of Hatteras, NC and is considered one of the top artifact divers of the area. 1pm - 1:40 pm Robert Frump author of the new book " Until the Sea Shall Free Them", http://www.untilthesea.com/ will speak about the main subject in the book, the 1983 sinking of the SS Marine Electric and will be available for book signing through out the day. Robert R. Frump For many years, Bob Frump was a journalist. He wrote about politics in Philadelphia, and covered the administration of controversial Mayor Frank Rizzo. He also wrote numerous investigative articles. He won the George Polk Award for coverage of the wrecks of old ships subsidized by government programs and the Gerald Loeb Award for his coverage of maritime business affairs. With many other reporters, he served on the team in Harrisburg reporting on Three Mile Island. The stories later won a Pulitzer Prize. Mr. Frump was nominated for Pulitzers by The Inquirer in three consecutive years. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Northwestern University, and the Executive Management Program of the Darden School, University of Virginia. Mr. Frump left journalism in 1986 to pursue a career in management. He is now an executive on Wall Street.
