Subject: New RGBM Website And RGBM Book
X-Mailer: Unknown (No Version)

  Folks,

    Just FYI.

A new RGBM Website will be coming online shortly, and a new
RGBM book, "Reduced Gradient Bubble Model And Applications", is
going to press with Best Publishing. The book is overdue -- sorry.
 So is the Website.

Tim O'Leary and I will keep you updated.

The RGBM Website will offer full up RGBM (executable only) code
for Windows, RGBM and deco papers and history, RGBM Tables for
nitrox, heliox, and trimix, and will also be collecting additional
RGBM profiles for storage in the RGBM Data Bank:

   1) RGBM code -- no frills full up RGBM calc package for
arbitrary dive profiles, mixes, switches, way times, etc.,
      and will sell for about $150;

   2) RGBM Tables -- extensive sets of heliox, nitrox, helitrox,
and trimix tables, will sell for about $75 each, complementing
already released NAUI RGBM recreational tables, and soon to
be released NAUI RGBM tec tables

   3) RGBM And Deco Papers -- 10 -12 pdf files dealing with tech
diving, deco theory, RGBM model bases, validation, and testing,
      diving physics, etc selling for $10 - $15 each;

   4) RGBM Data Bank -- collection site for additional RGBM user
profiles in simplified form (user, age, ascent and descent rate,
mixes, switches in square wave form, dive outcome as far as
health, etc). Recreational air and nitrox diving is NOT of
interest to the RGBM Data Bank -- save deep reverse profiles,
closely spaced and multiple repets, and heavy multiday diving.
Right now we have about 800 tech profiles and want to expand
      this.

   5) hyperlinks to dive meter folks, Best, etc.

The book "Reduced Gradient Bubble Model And Applications"
details the full RGBM right up to now. All equations are
given, including mass transport coefficients, EOS data, seed
excitation radii, Boyle modifiers, phase limits, surface
tension functions, and others related to the RGBM model
as a whole. Sections on validation and testing, deep stops,
helium, and statistics round out the book. Meter implementations
are also discussed (Mares, Dacor, Plexus, Suunto, Hydrospace,
and others in works). A Chapter is devoted to contrasting
RGBM staging with other models and some software. It's 70 pages
  long.

See some of you at DEMA -- I hope.

  Cheers,

  Bruce Wienke
