Teaching techniques doesn't help if the person doesn't come to the realization 
that it can happen to him.  And that going through months of therapy, or 
burying a friend feels quite different than what you though it would from your 
classes and books.

You don't have to be doing tech or cave to get messed up.

I believe that we should teach that people DO die, and DO get messed up since 
scuba 101.  Teach graphically with stories from our experience or others that 
are close.  Problem is, the truth would scare most of our customers.
