John, whichever John you are, you started this out with a mindless attack

and piece of typical loser nonsense with the "nazi" comment and then

followed it up with the expected proof that you have nothing worthwhile to

say . I knew that if I just said nothing , you would not be able to resist

providing the proof in writing that you are a typical clueless idiot,

probably a dive instructor, and most likely TDI.

The concept of a balanced rig obviously eludes you completely. DIR does not

use a cluster of double wings or any other "solution" to self-created

problems driven by misplaced paranoia or obsession with self. Let me go

over it - not for you , but for those who have the ability to grasp simple

concepts and want to learn something not possible from people like you who

have nothing to offer but calling me a "nazi" and blubbering about

"delivery" while spouting off anachronistic stupidity born of blundering

guesswork that has long ago been shown to be ridiculous.

We balance our rigs such that with full tanks we can get up from the bottom

by dropping something like a weightbelt or light if need be, and we balance

them so that with little or no back gas we can stay at ten feet in a low on

gas emergency, an essential for cave or overhead or decompression diving.

ANY moron can understand that. There is no need for "redundant" buoyancy -

buoyancy is for fine tuning and trim. Diving steel tanks with a wetsuit

will not allow that to happen. Diving neoprene drysuits will not allow that

to happen. If one is going to dive cold water or deep below the layer, one

needs a drysuit. Cold is as bad as narcosis. If one is going to dive steel

tanks, one needs a drysuit with proper insulation that does not alter its

buoyancy at depth. If one thinks one needs more gas on a deep ocean dive

in warm water, one needs to use stages.

I also take it as a personal insult that an obvious moron like you "gives

me the nod" on cave diving - LOL- you don't have a clue what you are

talking about there either .

I think Chris Richardson says it well, particularly on the " wanna-bees ".
My issues in the past have not been so much over the message but the
delivery. I do think open water items such as Aluminum 80s vs. steel, year
around dry suite, redundant wings, etc., need review.
  John
