Bruce, I don't think there is anywhere that anyone asks to see a "deep air" certification card and so far as I can see, only the worst of the farm animals out there give it anything but scorn. Neither your decompression tables nor anyone else's work for air, as air does not work for diving, so having tables is nothing more than accommodating other people's ignorance, and I strongly suspect that those "other people" reside someplace on the NAUI BOD ( I am not talking about NAUI Tec, I hope). I know what Tim O' leary thinks, I talk to him all the time. What I am asking in the context of this election is if we can identify any dinosaurs still remaining on the BOD of NAUI and vote them out so you and O 'Leary and the rest of the civilized world do not have to deal with this obvious stupidity. The best thing that ever happened to NAUI was getting rid of Brett Gilliam, and the best thing that could happen to diving would be to isolate this clown and Watts as the only vestigial remains of annelid stupidity in the dive training business. Oh, yes, I forgot the real idiots - PADI - but then what do you expect from the bottom of the food chain? I can't remember the boat monkey's name who runs that "tec" program, but then who cares. Time to let the idiots be idiots. So far GUE is the only agency that is clean in this regard. If we can identify who the holdouts are, and get rid of them, then you guys will not have to make excuses for them any longer. -----Original Message----- From: Brwswe@ao*.co* [mailto:Brwswe@ao*.co*] Sent: Monday, September 16, 2002 10:27 AM To: LangM@SI*.ED*; jan_neal@ya*.co*; lsomers@um*.ed*; EANX@ao*.co*; chris@ab*.co*; TekSpec@ao*.co*; drew@pa*.co*; gegstrom@uc*.ed*; dave.dinsmore@no*.go*; sruia@ti*.it*; barocas@ix*.ne*.co*; afm@ne*.co*; deco@de*.or*; techdiver@aquanaut.com; cfgross@ia*.co*; brw@la*.go*; ReggieRoss333@ao*.co*; keslingd@un*.ed*; emmerman@nb*.co*; Seacamp98@ao*.co*; mikenaui@ia*.co*; bturbo@ga*.ne*; gmelton@hs*.co*; mwells@in*.ne*; dick@hy*.co*; milesp@ac*.ca*; fullcave@di*.co*; scuba@di*.co*; nauihell@sp*.co*.cy*; nauiindonesia@ho*.co*; diving@al*.co*; nunie@ne*.ne*.il*; naui@uo*.co*.br*; naui@na*.es*; j.rodriguez@na*.or*; welcome@na*.co*.jp*; buismandiving@he*.nl*; center@na*.ru*; naui@na*.ch*; naui.austria@ti*.co*; admin@na*.or*; naui@ca*.ne*.co* Cc: Nauitec@ao*.co*; tom@es*.co*; mflahan@sc*.sd*.ed*; Mickeydive@ao*.co*; mike@se*.po*.my*; kmail@mi*.co*; ksliman@co*.ne*; jbram@na*.or* Subject: Re: Deep Air George Irvine brought up a good question -- where does NAUI Tec stand on deep air. Answer is simple -- NAUI Tec does NOT advocate deep air in their tec training courses, nor for deep diving. New NAUI air tables for tec diving do not go beyond 150 fsw. Trimix is the deep choice, with pure O2 switches in shallow zone Tim O'Leary, when he gets back from Roatan, will surely comment more.
