The problem is more that people believe best what they learn first, and the
problem is that most have learned the wrong things. We can show them the
right way, but they frequently revert to what they heard first. I know these
guys for years, and they came over from the Dark Side, but as you can see,
when they needed to believe us, they fell back on what they learned first.
The reason I talked to them about it now is that now they will believe me
about this stuff. At least they came to me after the fact and asked.

I think there is an important point here-
You can give a fool the best training and the best equipment available,
and he'll still do something foolish.

I hope they were listening this time when you talked to them.
