Hi John
I do not work as the full time Capt on the boats, I did last year for the
summer. We have done some training, this year I have worked so much at my
present/old full time job, I have not been involved with the crew or boat
for their training, it's no longer my job, I just go as the co Capt on the
overnighters when I want. Vbtech has had meetings and gone over procedures
at the shop for what we want. There could always be more. When I decided to
not run the boats full time anymore at the end of last year, they had to
employ 2 more Captains, a new repair guy, and assign someone at the shop to
do all scheduling I was doing just to replace me.

One of the shop boats is a new pro 48, and does not have a chase boat, just
like the FL dive boats don't, but it does have twin engines, where MOST of
the FL dive boats I have been on only have one, it is not used for tech
trips. The ML has a chase boat and is only deployed on the big dives or if
the charter request it(not some individual or panicked moron on the boat
who doesn't have a clue) or when it's needed. You can check my site I have
photos of us going to pick up divers who needed some assistance for some
reason on there using the chase boat.

I often post with different agendas than some think, I only get side
tracked with bullshit I have to answer from the BIG DICK and the wannabees.

Just like everyone thought I was posting to the commercial Capt (who
wouldn't reveal his name) about the CG medovac procedures. You know that
you ask me in private to do it for you, but my real aim was to the 2 new
Captains at the shop, as well as any other new Capt. or unprepared one.
There are a great many Capt. out there who don't know what to do or how to
act in the real life drill and though I have been unfortunate to see many
things I can use those unpleasant things to guide someone else if and when
something happens on their boats. This also helps those who would be on the
boat and now know what is going on and how to help, panic does no good at
all.

I don't know if that answers your questions enough, but that is all you're
going to get, I think it was a ploy anyway. Now that I think about it, the
request you made for the medovac may have been a ploy also. You had no way
of knowing my office was 200ft from the CG office here and that I would
confirm my post with them as the correct way, with name and title of the
head guy.
