WKPP (Woodville Karst Plain Project) has been conducting a series of dives "around the clock" in Tallahassee at Indian Springs and Sally Ward Spring in an effort to document cave passage underneath and adjacent to a proposed RV park and gas station site on the corner of hwys 61 and 267 across from Wakulla Springs. We have put all available team members in exploration, resurvey and video dives in an effort to put together a convincing package. So far we have been successful in that we have placed Sally Ward up against the property in question and videoed this location. We were also able to add a bunch of line and break the cave back open ( it had been rumored to be walled out). The video will be shown at the NSS workshop. We also have pushed Indian a couple thousand feet past the Wakulla Room (also thought to be walled out) and are working leads which ahould go under the property as well. In this effort we are taking turns diving in two man teams until Monday night in the eastbound tunnels. On Monday night we go before the Wakulla County Commission with our arial photographs and cave overlays, our color topo maps with cave drawn in, our video, our team of outside experts, and our testimony to try blocking this proposal. Wish us luck - if we are successful, cave divers will look pretty good. George Irvine
