I know, I know. It is just a lot of work diving way out. The sick thing is that down here we have the best diving in the world 65 miles away in the Bahamas, and these broke dick nickel rockets won't go there other than with liveaboards , so for any really good diving here, we have to go with the sportfishing boats. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Cobb [mailto:cobber@ci*.co*] Sent: Saturday, August 03, 2002 9:26 AM To: George Irvine Cc: Joe; Capt JT; techdiver@aquanaut.com; VB Tech Subject: Re: Cut to the chaseRE: VBTech vs. Nova Tech Funny thing George, I think that a lot of the guy's like the long trip part. You sit around catching up on reading and sleeping after a hard weeks work. At least I enjoyed it, having no seasickness problems. I think we've had this conversation before, divers and their equipment are really hard on a boat, as any skipper will attest. I could just see the look on a owners face as a set of 104's smashes into his gold-plater's brightwork. When you do "cut to the chase" I guess the only real way to do it is to own your own custom, diver-proofed Buddy Davis with compressor, HE and O2 integrated system, ROV, paid full time diver trained crew and Captain. But then if I had *that* kind of money I'd be damed if I'd be tech diving. I'd own a newtsuit or sub.
