Dear Mr. Curtis, I applaud your familiarity with Walt Disney. Mine is poor, so your colorful rhetoric is lost on me. Anyhow, the analogy you seek to establish between Mr. Crowley and your thinly veiled reference to Mr. Irvine is a poor one, not only because Mr. Irvine is not an officer of this organization, but because in the case of Mr. Crowley, there is ample evidence that he, in fact, knowingly misrepresented the facts. In the case of Mr. Irvine, perhaps the organizations he criticized did not feel that they recourse against him for the claims that he made. For the record, GUE's "methods" do not include slander, insults, or lies; our "whining" is merely a request for accurate representation. In our opinion, the intentional distortion of the truth, designed to harm another, falls outside the domain of free speech, forcing us to take measures to curtail them. Sincerely yours, Dr. Panos D.
