Holy shit, George. That is lower than scum...I always worried that this
would happen in the springs. Harry asked (reasonably) "who would take
our oxygen unless they needed it badly?"

Now I know. So do we chain our deco bottles to a rock?

Erik, Florida cave divers are the lowest lifes you will ever encounter.
I absolutely hate diving anyplace where they are allowed to dive. If it
were not for my girlfriend wanting to dive all of the little springs, I
would not take the chance of having my stuff stolen. We have support
divers guard our stuff at most sites. I even had my oxygen bottle stolen
out of Wakulla by some of the low life pieces of shit that are part of
FSU ADP. I got to 20 feet and had no oxygen. Luckily, that makes little
difference for me. One of my guys got it back from ADP the hard way, and
those low lifes argued that they were justified in stealing it since I
"left it". There is something about cave diving that attracts the worst
element in Florida, and my opinion is that it is the instructors who
foster and attract this element. Just look at the track record of the
NACD and the CDS as to thievery in those (
instructor-run) organizations.

Subject: [Cavers] Stolen Fins and Mask at Telford - HELP!

My wife's fins and mask were accidentally left behind on Sunday
afternoon right down by the water at Terrapin Sink at Telford. They
were only there for about an hour before we realized it and were able to
get back there to search. If they had been left at the headspring I
would have considered them gone in a matter of minutes, but since they
were at Terrapin we had some hope...

If anyone comes across (or is offered for sale by some thief) a pair of
XL Jetfins with Halcyon spring heels and a Cressi mask (2 window, black
with dark teal trim) in the fin pocket, PLEASE let me know. The fins
had my wifes name (Tiffany) written large across the bottom in paint
marker.

Alternatively, if anyone has an extra set of XL Jetfins and/or spring
heels that they might be willing to part with cheap we would appreciate
it. We dive a lot and need to find these or replace them asap.

Thanks for any help and for keeping your eyes open!

-Erik
