Hi Paul,

Since your rather small intellect or your huge ego (I can't tell which) will
not permit you to understand my comments, I'll explain them in rather simple
language. You said << The whole "oxygen clean" thing revolves mainly
around
2 points, lube and o-rings. >>

Well, I've got news for you. The concept of "Oxygen clean" has absolutely
nothing to do with the material of any o-rings. That's nil, nada, ninguno.
Can you understand that? The o-rings may or may not be oxygen compatible,
but that is a completely different question. It has nothing whatever to do
with whether or not they are "oxygen clean."

Now as to your answer to my other point, you originally said << As far as
lube is concerned, almost everybody is using the O2 safe stuff anyway,
because it's a much better lubricant. >>

Nowhere do I see the word "technical" in your statement. But you now say
<<
I don't need to, I've been there. Well, I've been to the 3 local shops that
serve technical divers. >>

My criticism of your ridiculous statement had nothing to do with "technical"
diving shops. Of course I understand that to you, three shops represent
<<
almost everybody >>, but to the rest of the world this isn't quite the case.
And I think you'll find that the vast majority of dive shops have extremely
little to do with technical diving.

So in the future when you feel like an expert and want to dispense your sage
advice, kindly keep it to yourself. I can do without having to filter out
your sometimes really stupid pronouncements.

Take care and dive safe, Scott

Some weeks it's just not worth the effort to gnaw through the restraints and
scramble up out of the pit.

Sorry, Scott, I don't know what compatable means? Did you mean
"compatible"? Did you read my post? Are you saying that if you use
the wrong type of O-ring you'll have an oxygen fire? If so, please
be specific, I'd be very interested in hearing about a case where
someone used a "non oxygen compatible" O-ring and it actually caused
a problem. I have never heard of any such thing happening.

I don't need to, I've been there. Well, I've been to the 3 local
shops that serve technical divers.

That is what they use. It's what I use when I service my regs.
Scubapro specs it for all their regs.

You must be a real cheapscate, if you go to shops that will try to
save a couple of pennies when they service your regs, and use a
cheaper grease. I suggest you go to a better shop. >>
