It is in principle the same as a Y-valve, but it has a horizontal x-shape. You can attach 2 first stages to it. And you can create a double set by attaching a special AIRCON-manifold between two bottles. The point where you attach the first stage is in this photo a male DIN connection. It is especially for dedicated Nitrox-first stages. But I've seen adapters (2 female DIN connections) so people can attach their "normal" DIN first stages. Aircon makes these valves in normal DIN, too.
