Hello All, As the automated list server suggested, thought that I would just write a few lines to introduce myself. I have been diving for three years now and am both PADI and PDIC qualified advanced w/wreck, rescue and Nitrox. I am living in Ontario, Canada and dive the year round.(Never missed a week end here, but I gotta tell you I was getting a little tired of the 32 degrees f water this year between Nov and Apr). I dove mainly in Lake Ontario, but got bored with it in the first year and started moving up the St Lawrence river between Kingston and Cornwall. There is some absolutely tremendous deep water wall diving (200'+) with viz about 100' in the summer time and temp about 74 degrees through the area. There is some current to deal with in the early spring but it peeters out in the summer. I have dove just about every wreck there is to do in this area and got bored with the lake last year. I got introduced to Tech diving last year and have been hooke on it ever since. The problem up here is, although Canadians are a hardy breed there are still not too many Tech divers around so it is sometimes difficult to get partners. Typically I dive about two or three times a week and a lot of deco/mixed gas (Nitrox/O2). Life begins at 200'. I hope this year to make it down to Ginny to do cavern and full cave. I am not to sure if I am so keen on the full cave but I am willing to give it a try. On the other hand I said that about night dives and find them wonderful little adventures now. That's about it from north of the 49th for now. Donald MacKay (I'd rather play with the fish than eat them, thanks...)
